DIY Install of On / Off switch for Leisure Travel vans Solar Controller

Continuing our DIY install video tutorials with Sandra Johnson, author of the DIY electrical guides for Leisure Travel Vans owners, we installed an On / Off switch between my solar panels and solar controller.

Why do you need an on / off switch between panels and controller? It’s always a good idea to have a cutoff point between electrical components, especially if you plan to change out, work on or just need to turn the current off to a particular component.

In this video, Sandy shows step by step how to install this DIY and it couldn’t be easier. Just be careful to take the proper precautions, as any electrical work can result in harm to you and/or your RV. This guide is intended to provide information on what we did and why, so use at your own risk.

Parts List:

Sandy has written a complete guide as well, so be sure to read, watch the video and enjoy!
