Gas fire pits run on propane fuel which means they can be lit up quickly and easily with no mess whatsoever . You don’t have to worry about chopping wood or dealing with ashes either – just turn it on and enjoy! Most gas fire pits come with adjustable flames so you can control how hot it gets depending on what type of activity you plan on using it for (such as cooking over it).

This is why we love our BLUU portable propane fire pit so much. It’s the perfect size and super convenient. While I haven’t modified it to work with the quick connect on our RVs (the unit is regulated, so you would have a hard time getting enough fuel through the also regulated quick connect port) I purchased an Ignik 10lb propane bottle and case that will work with our fire pit, OONI pizza oven or anything else we wish to light.

One huge advantage of a propane fire bowl is that they are usually on the “OK to use” list when fire bans are in place and wood burning fire pits are not allowed. But wood burning fire pits are awesome too when they are able to be used.

Wood burning fire pits are very easy to use but require more maintenance than other types since you need to keep them clean and free from debris after every use.

The downside to wood burning fire pits, like the Solo Stove is many state parks and campgrounds have fire bans that don’t allow you to use your fire pit.
