The Ford Maverick Hybrid. How it tows behind Sprinter based RVs

Not too long ago, I posted a video on the best tow vehicles for Leisure Travel Vans and when Ford released their flat towable Maverick Hybrid, I knew this would be one of the best for small RVs (or any RV for that matter). It’s light weight and utilitarian truck bed make the Maverick just about perfect.

To tow the Ford Maverick, you must choose the Hybrid version

So, I purchased a 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid for the sole purpose of towing behind our 2020 Leisure Travel Van Unity FX, so that we wouldn’t have to break camp anytime we wanted to take off.

However, soon after the purchase, we received the Airstream Globetrotter that we had oredered and we decided if we were going to tow something, it would be the Airstream with our Ford Super Duty and just let the Leisure Travel Van be it’s nimble self.

I am often asked about how the Maverick is to tow, but since I never set it up to tow, I have no idea! So I found a fellow LTVer who does and Doug Zubradt fills us in on how the Ford Maverick Hybrid does behind the Leisure Travel Van Sprinter.

Check out this video and let Doug give you the scoop about whether the Ford Maverick hybrid is the perfect RV tow vehicle for Leisure Travel Vans.
