Our Wet Bay, Electric & Propane Essentials

From fresh water hoses to filters, it’s important to get it right when dealing with your potable water supplies. And never leave home without your dog bones! Dog bones as in electric cord adapters that is.

For 30amp coaches, you will need a 50amp male to 30amp female for RV parks that have no 30amp receptacle. And for mooch docking or plugging into a household outlet, the 15amp to 30amp adapter is needed.

If you have a propane grill, such as a Blackstone, you more than likely will need the low pressure hose and quick connect below as well.

*Note: Most Leisure Travel Vans come equipped with built in surge protector, so check your build sheet before buying an external. Since mine has one built in, but in an area not easy to see the status, I use the Adapter Circuit Analyzer below to quickly tell me if the power is clean.

Soft Start for Rooftop Air Conditioner

Run your rooftop air on household plug or if you do a lithium upgrade like we did, even run your air conditioner on your battery! Use Code Pagosa & save $25

50 Amp ⚡︎ 30 Amp Adapter

It’s smart to carry every variant of power cord adapters. From 50 amp down to 30 amp. And 30 amp down to 15 amp. These are also called “dog bones”

30 Amp ⚡︎ 15 Amp Adapter

This takes you 30 amp RV and allows you to plug into a household plug. Keep in mind there are power limitations. If you have a 50amp coach, get 50 - 15.

30 Amp Circuit Analyzer

Our Leisure Travel Van has a built in surge protector and analyzer. However it’s not in a convenient place to see if the power is good every time we plug in. This tells you if the power pole has “clean power” and is safe.

⚡︎ Surge Protector ⚡︎

If you do not have an onboard surge protector, this will need to be your first purchase. This will save you thousands in repairs in case you plug into “dirty power” at a campsite or park. (Some RVs are equipped, so check your specs to see if you need an external unit)

Wet Bay Essentials

Pressure Regulator

Another MUST. Controls pressure coming into your coach from city water. Leisure Travel Vans do not have an internal pressure regulator, so this will save your system from damage.

Fresh Water Hose

The Zero G hose is amazing. Never kinks and folds up perfectly for travel. Rated for drinking water usage. Also fits perfectly in the wet bay area, so no storage hassle. Wouldn’t want any other hose.

Happy Camper Tank Treatment

The most effective & cost effective product on the market. Happy Camper’s highly concentrated water-activated mineral blend eliminates odor without covering it up with perfume like many of the chemical deodorant treatments.

Water Filter

Don’t hook up to city or park water without this attached. Goes between faucet & your fresh water hose. Camco TastePure RV/Marine Water Filter with Flexible Hose Protector | Protects Against Bacteria | Reduces Bad Taste, Odors, Chlorine and Sediment in Drinking Water

Hose Quick Connect

Net a necessity, but I love the ease and quickness of these. No more frustrating lining up and awkward positioned turning for my fresh water hose.

45 Degree Elbow

Another convenience is this elbow for your fresh water inlet. This will also eliminate stress on your hose connection. Highly recommend.

Travel Berkey

We don’t buy bottled water unless we have to, and the Berkey makes the purest water you can drink, saving cost and waste. We use it in our home when not traveling, so it’s multi-purpose too!

Propane Essentials

If you plan to carry an outdoor propane grill, such as the Blackstone, you will most likely need these to hook it up to your RV.

Propane Pressure Connector

This adapter helps convert a Blackstone griddle to allow connection to the low pressure system on a Travel Trailer or Camper with 1/4" quick plug. Attention: This adapter is only suitable for 17 inch and 22 inch blackstone grill and is only used on low pressure system.
